I was happy to see a hip-hop group release an album that had multiple album covers (of course it was for a limited run) in 1999. Not only was it unprecedented but it was an amazing set of covers regardless of musical genre. It made me want to buy the album 5 times just to get all the covers. I'm still a little mad at myself for not searching for them at used record spots, at least. This exemplified (and still does today) superb forward thinking in an otherwise stagnate cover design genre (there are exceptions out there, of course).
